Kamdhenu University (KU), the state veterinary and fisheries university set up by the Government of Gujarat, has invited candidates for 8 contract posts under different research and development schemes at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Navsari. The posts are Teaching Associate (under the "Strengthening of Veterinary College, Navsari as per VCI-MSVE, 2016" scheme) and Senior Research Fellow (under the "Modernization of Surati Buffaloes Farm, Vyara" scheme). These are purely contractual posts and the engagement ends when the research scheme is completed.

Who Can Apply?

For Teaching Associate (7 posts):

• Qualification: Ph.D. in any discipline of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, OR M.V.Sc. in any discipline with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade point average).
• Experience for M.V.Sc. holders: Three years of experience and one research paper published in an SCI or NAAS-rated (score 4.0 or above) journal.

For Senior Research Fellow (1 post):

• Qualification: M.V.Sc. in any discipline of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.

Age Limit

• Teaching Associate: Maximum 40 years for male candidates and 45 years for female candidates.
• Senior Research Fellow: Maximum 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.

Salary

• Teaching Associate (Master's degree holder): Rs. 61,000 per month plus HRA.
• Teaching Associate (Ph.D. degree holder): Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA.
• Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA in the 1st and 2nd year, and Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA in the 3rd year.

Selection Process

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend in person with all your original documents and a set of self-attested photocopies, along with your application on plain paper and a complete bio-data.
2. Written Test (only if needed): If a large number of candidates turn up, a written test will be held first to shortlist candidates.
