Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, run by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, has released a walk-in interview notice for the post of Junior Resident (BDS) on an adhoc basis. There is no online application process — you simply need to show up on the interview date with your original documents. This is a good opportunity for freshly qualified BDS graduates who have completed their compulsory rotating internship and want to gain clinical experience at a government hospital in Delhi. The number of vacancies is provisional and can change without prior notice, and the hospital's competent authority reserves the right to amend or cancel this recruitment at any stage.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: BDS degree from a recognized university
• Internship: You must have completed your compulsory rotating internship after 6 August 2024
• Registration: You must be registered with the Delhi Dental Council (DDC) at the time of submitting your application. Registration with a State Dental Council other than Delhi will not be allowed for the interview
• If fresh candidates are not available, candidates who have already completed 1 year of Junior Residency may also be considered

Age Limit

• You should be under 30 years of age as on the closing date of the application (7 August 2026).

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month under Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get allowances as admissible under the rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Written Examination: You need to score at least 50% marks to qualify for the interview.
2. Interview: Only candidates who clear the written exam are called for the interview. The final selection is made on criteria approved by the Competent Authority.
3. Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates, testimonials, and a valid DDC registration certificate. Your education qualification, age, DDC registration, and internship completion certificate will all be verified.
4. Medical Fitness Check: Your appointment is subject to a medical fitness report issued by the JPCH medical board. If selected, you must report before the medical board within 2 days of receiving your offer letter — non-appearance or being found unfit will cancel the offer.

No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview, and hostel accommodation for selected candidates is subject to availability. If the number of applications received is very high, the interview may continue on the next working day — this will only be announced verbally by the Board Members at the closing time, so there is no separate written communication.

How to Apply

1. Report to the Administrative Block (5th Floor), Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, Shastri Park, Delhi-110053, on the scheduled interview date.
2. Collect the application form from the Administration Branch — forms are available from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM only on the interview date.
3. Fill in the form and attach self-attested copies of your certificates, testimonials, and one passport-size photograph.
4. Submit the completed form along with your original certificates and testimonials at the time of the interview.

Once selected, your appointment is purely adhoc for 89 days. It can be extended with a mandatory one-day break after completing the 89-day tenure, subject to a satisfactory performance report from your department HOD and approval from the competent authority — up to a maximum of 1 year including any previous experience, or until a regular candidate joins, whichever comes first.
