IIT Goa Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026

Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is hiring 4 non-teaching staff posts through Advertisement No. IITGoa/RECT/2026/03. The posts are Technical Superintendent (Electrical), Technical Superintendent, and Administrative Assistant. IIT Goa has notified 4 regular non-teaching vacancies in Group B and Group C. The online application portal opened on 6 May 2026 at 5:00 PM. The original closing date was 29 May 2026, 11:59 PM, but the official corrigendum has extended it to 31 May 2026, 11:59 PM. • Technical Superintendent (Electrical): 1 post, Group B, Pay Level 6, OBC-NCL vacancy, upper age limit 34 years.
• Technical Superintendent: 1 post, Group B, Pay Level 6, EWS vacancy, upper age limit 34 years.
• Administrative Assistant: 2 posts, Group C, Pay Level 4, UR vacancies, upper age limit 27 years.

Who Can Apply?

Technical Superintendent (Electrical)

• Diploma route: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, plus 6 years of post-diploma experience.
• Degree route: B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, plus 3 years of post-degree experience.
• Master's degree benefit: Normal duration of a full-time master's programme in the relevant field may be counted towards experience, up to 2 years.

Technical Superintendent

• Diploma route: 3-year Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, plus 6 years of post-diploma experience.
• Non-B.Tech bachelor's route: Bachelor's degree other than B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, plus 5 years of post-degree experience.
• B.Tech/B.E. route: B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, plus 3 years of post-degree experience.
• Master's degree benefit: Normal duration of a full-time master's programme in the relevant field may be counted towards experience, up to 2 years.

Administrative Assistant

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Age Limit

• Technical Superintendent posts: maximum 34 years.
• Administrative Assistant: maximum 27 years.
• Reserved-category relaxation: available as per Government of India norms only where the post vacancy is reserved for that category.
• PwBD and ex-servicemen relaxation: applicable as per rules; PwBD relaxation is subject to a maximum age of 56 years.
• IIT Goa employees: regular employees have an age limit of 57 years across cadres; eligible non-regular or contract employees may get relaxation up to 57 years if they have served the Institute for at least 5 years.

Application Fee

• SC/ST applicants: no fee as per corrigendum dated 6 May 2026.
• PwBD applicants: no fee.
• Female applicants: no fee as per corrigendum dated 6 May 2026.
• Group B posts: Rs. 300 for applicants who are not exempted.
• Group C posts: Rs. 200 for applicants who are not exempted.

Selection Process

1. Application scrutiny: online applications will be checked against the advertised eligibility conditions.
2. Shortlisting: if applications are large in number, IIT Goa may use additional criteria such as academic performance, level, area or years of experience.
3. Written test: selection for Pay Level 6 Group B and Pay Level 4 Group C posts will be based on a written test as per recruitment rules. The test may include written test, computer-based test, trade test or another suitable mode.

3. Pay the fee only if you are not covered under the SC/ST, PwBD or female fee exemption.

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical, electronics or IT systems and laboratories at IIT Goa

• Prepare reports, work orders and laboratory documentation as required
• Manage office files, correspondence and data entry on government software systems (for Administrative Assistant)
