IGRUA, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is India's premier flying training institute and has trained generations of professional pilots at its Fursatganj Airfield campus in Amethi. IGRUA has released Advertisement No. IGRUA/ADVT/20/2026 for the post of Ground Instructor (Air Regulations). The appointment is purely contractual for 11 months, extendable as required, and does not confer any right to regular appointment. As Ground Instructor, you will teach Air Regulations, Rules of the Air, licensing requirements and ICAO Annexes to trainee pilots, and help them prepare for their DGCA examinations — one of the most important theory subjects in a commercial pilot's training. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Post-Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Regulatory Background (any one): A CPL/ATPL (held or holding), OR experience as an Air Traffic Controller with AAI/Defence Forces, OR a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the civil aviation regulatory domain, airline operations, or aviation safety management.
• Teaching Experience: You need at least 5 years of teaching or instructional experience in aviation-related subjects at a DGCA-approved Flying Training Organisation, Defence Aviation Training Establishment, university/college offering aviation programmes, or an AAI training centre.
• Desirable: A Ph.D. in Aviation Science, Aviation Law or Transport Management, published research on aviation regulation or safety, and DGCA exam paper-setting/moderation experience will strengthen your application.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Since IGRUA trains pilots for DGCA licensing examinations, a candidate with hands-on regulatory or examiner experience will generally be viewed favourably during shortlisting.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 65 years old as on 1 June 2026.

Salary

• You will get a fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,65,000 per month.

Selection Process

The selection involves the following stages:
