Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is hiring a Senior Project Executive Officer for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The role supports the T3i Lab's CPU-GPU high-performance computing cluster, a shared platform used for demanding research and modern artificial intelligence and machine-learning workloads. This is a hands-on technical leadership assignment for someone who can keep complex infrastructure dependable while also helping researchers use it effectively.

The cluster combines large-scale parallel computing, high-performance networking and hybrid CPU-GPU workloads. Your background therefore needs to connect systems administration with research computing: Linux, MPI and OpenMP, compiled and interpreted programming languages, job schedulers, debugging, parallel application installation and performance profiling all matter. The institute also values clear communication because the officer will work with users every day, translate research needs into technical solutions and coordinate training. Evidence of maintaining a production HPC environment will carry more weight than a general claim of IT experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Appointment status: The post is purely temporary and contractual under a project rather than a regular institute position.
