Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has invited applications for 2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) posts - one in the Avionics stream and one in the Mechanical stream. You will be posted at the IGRUA Campus in Amethi (UP) and/or Birsi Airport in Gondia (Maharashtra). This is a contractual appointment for 11 months, extendable, and does not confer any right to a regular appointment. IGRUA operates the Diamond DA40 and DA42 training aircraft, so candidates already type-rated on similar aircraft will be preferred. Located at the Fursatganj Airfield in Amethi, IGRUA offers a peaceful, family-friendly work environment with quarters/accommodation available as per rules and a low cost of living.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Aircraft Maintenance Engineering/Mechanical Engineering degree, or B.Sc in Physics, or B.Sc in Mathematics.
• Licence: You must hold an AME Licence in Category B1 on at least one aircraft type similar to the Diamond DA40/DA42 operated by IGRUA. Candidates without the specific rating may still be considered, subject to obtaining it and signing a Service Bond with IGRUA.
• Experience: At least 2 years of aviation experience.
• Desirable: 2 years' experience as senior technical staff (e.g. Technician), and holding an additional B3 licence on composite/all-metal aircraft.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 55 years as on 1 June 2026.

Salary

• You will get a monthly remuneration of Rs. 91,000, plus Rs. 1,800 Transport Allowance and Rs. 300 Aviation Allowance per month.
• Additional benefits include a Medical Allowance of Rs. 25,000 per year, accommodation within the campus (subject to availability), extra pay for working on gazetted holidays and second Saturdays, and a Productivity Allowance of Rs. 100/hour (single-engine) or Rs. 200/hour (multi-engine) for certification work, plus applicable TA/DA for outstation duties.

Selection Process

2. Written Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or interview, which may be conducted online.
3. Medical Fitness Check: Final appointment is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
