FC Prayagraj Counsellor Recruitment 2026: Overview
Family Court, Prayagraj (FC Prayagraj) is seeking Counsellors for its court in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Office of the Principal Judge will forward the applications to the Uttar Pradesh Government under instructions received from the Allahabad High Court. The key point for you is the contractual nature of the association with the court.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial term: The appointment is for three years. This is the period stated for the initial engagement.
- Further consideration: Your name may be considered again for another three-year term on the High Court’s recommendation. The notice does not promise an automatic renewal.
- Service status: This Counsellor engagement does not count as appointment to government service. You will remain associated with the court on a contract basis.
- Appointment process: Applications received by the Family Court are to be forwarded to the Uttar Pradesh Government. The local court is the receiving office identified in the advertisement.
Application Submission Notes
Send your completed application by registered post, or deliver it personally, to the Office of the Principal Judge, Family Court, Prayagraj. The notice names these two submission routes.
The prescribed application form is included in the notification PDF; the notice also says it can be downloaded from the Prayagraj District Court website. The form has separate spaces for your name in Hindi and in English capital letters, and for your permanent and current addresses. Complete the declaration area with your signature, full name, address, date and place.

Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or Psychology, with experience in social service.

Master’s degree in Social Work with 2 years of family counselling experience is preferred.
