FC Prayagraj Counsellor Recruitment 2026: Overview
Family Court, Prayagraj (FC Prayagraj) is seeking Counsellors for its court in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Office of the Principal Judge will forward the applications to the Uttar Pradesh Government under instructions received from the Allahabad High Court. The key point for you is the contractual nature of the association with the court.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial term: The appointment is for three years. This is the period stated for the initial engagement.
- Further consideration: Your name may be considered again for another three-year term on the High Court’s recommendation. The notice does not promise an automatic renewal.
- Service status: This Counsellor engagement does not count as appointment to government service. You will remain associated with the court on a contract basis.
- Appointment process: Applications received by the Family Court are to be forwarded to the Uttar Pradesh Government. The local court is the receiving office identified in the advertisement.

- Help parties discuss their concerns calmly and respectfully
- Support efforts to resolve family disagreements through counselling
- Keep clear and confidential records of counselling sessions
- Prepare counselling notes for the court as needed
- Coordinate counselling appointments with the court office
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or Psychology, with experience in social service.
Preferred Qualification
Master’s degree in Social Work with 2 years of family counselling experience is preferred.
Age Limit
35 - 65 years (as on 16 Sep 2026)

Pay Scale
