The District Health Society, Thanjavur (DHS Thanjavur), under the Tamil Nadu Department of Medical and Public Health, is filling Health Inspector Grade II posts that are lying vacant under the National Health Mission (NHM). The openings are split between urban health and wellness centres in the district's towns and rural health sub-centres run under the state's Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam (MTM) doorstep-healthcare scheme. • Urban Health and Wellness Centres: Town Karambai (Maharnobhuchavadi UPHC, Thanjavur Corporation), Nariyampallam (Pattukkottai), and Thirunarayanapuram, Kasiraman Street, Dharasuram and Melakottaiyur under the EVRM, Melacavery and Kumbeshwar South UPHCs in Kumbakonam.
• Patteswaram block (MTM): health sub-centres at Asoor and Maruthanallur.
• Thondarampattu block (MTM): sub-centres at Kasanadu Kovilur, Poyundarkottai and Kannukudi East.
• AN Puram block (MTM): sub-centres at Regunathapuram, Mallipattinam, Pallathur and Kallangadu.
• Konulampallam and Thiruvonam blocks (MTM): sub-centres at Aralur (Kathiramangalam PHC) and Kilamangalam (Adambai PHC).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract length: The engagement is fully temporary and runs for 11 months at a time.
• No regularisation: The temporary post will not be made permanent.
• Renewal: After 11 months there is a one-day break, and only then can a fresh contract be signed.
• Changes possible: The number of posts and the monthly pay are subject to change.
• Final decision: The selection committee's decision is final.
• Undertaking: You must give a voluntary undertaking to join and sign an 11-month contract letter.
• Tamil: You must have studied Tamil as a subject at SSLC level.
• Training certificate: The two-year MPHW (Male) / Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector training (including the Gandhigram Rural Institute course) must carry a certificate issued by the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

The form asks for your name in both Tamil and English, your 10th, 12th and diploma marks with percentage, any previous experience in years, and your address with block, taluk and district.
