Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan (DHAS) in Delhi is hiring 5 Junior Residents on an ad-hoc basis. If you have an MBBS degree with a valid Delhi Medical Council registration, you can walk in for a direct interview — no written exam is required. The interview is on 4 August 2026, and selected candidates will get a starting salary of Rs. 56,100 per month under Pay Level 10 of the pay matrix.

Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan (DHAS) Junior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan, a government hospital under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, GNCT of Delhi, has released an interview notice for 5 Junior Resident (MBBS) posts at its Karkardooma campus. These appointments are made under the residency scheme notified vide order no. F.11/79/Hr-Med/2023 dated 03.10.2024 of the Delhi Government, read with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India guidelines dated 21.11.2022, and the process is purely walk-in interview based — there is no online application or written test involved. Selected candidates will initially be appointed for 44 days, which can be extended in blocks of 44 days up to a maximum of one year, based on satisfactory performance or until a regular candidate joins the post. Fresh MBBS graduates who completed their internship recently are strongly encouraged to attend.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree from a recognized university or institution.
• Registration: You must hold a valid registration certificate from the Delhi Medical Council.
• Internship: You must have completed your internship within the last 2 years counted from the date of interview. If you finished your internship more than 2 years ago, you are not eligible for this round.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 30 years old (General category) as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 5 extra years for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
• If enough fresh candidates are not available, DHAS can relax the upper age limit up to 40 years under a special Delhi Government circular.

Salary

• Selected Junior Residents will get a salary as per Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month) of the 7th CPC pay matrix.
• You will also get allowances as admissible under Delhi Government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

DHAS selects candidates directly through an interview — there is no written or skill test for this post:

1. Registration: Report to the Establishment Branch between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM on the interview date with your documents and photographs.
2. Interview: Only candidates who complete registration by 11:30 AM will appear before the interview board.
3. Medical Fitness Check: Your appointment is subject to being declared medically fit.
4. Document Verification: All original certificates will be verified on the spot.

If enough fresh candidates are not available, DHAS may relax the eligibility conditions as per circular no. F.11/26/2010/H&FW/1996-2045 dated 10.6.2011 of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, GNCT of Delhi. Under this relaxation:

• The upper age limit for eligibility goes up to 40 years.
• Candidates who have already completed 1 year of junior residency may also appear in the interview as fresh candidates.
• A separate merit list is prepared for such candidates.
• DHAS will first exhaust the list of fresh candidates for appointment, and use the second list only after that.
• Appointments made from the second list are for 1 year only and are not renewable further.

How to Apply

1. Reach the Establishment Branch at Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan, Karkardooma, Delhi on the interview date.
2. Register between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM with your photograph, photocopies of qualifying certificates, date of birth proof, photo ID card and address proof.
3. Carry all original certificates and testimonials for verification.
4. Bring two recent passport-size photographs.
5. Appear for the interview after registration closes at 11:30 AM.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
