BEL Assistant Security Officer Recruitment 2026 — Overview

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a NavRatna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has invited online applications for the post of Assistant Security Officer (E-1 Grade). This recruitment is exclusively for Ex-Servicemen who have served in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force and held the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or equivalent at the time of retirement.

There are 2 vacancies in total, and the posting will be at BEL's Regional Processing and Supply Centres (RPSCs) in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and Bathinda (Punjab). The appointment is on a fixed tenure basis, with a maximum period of 15 years from the date of joining, reviewed every 5 years.

Who Can Apply

• You must be an Ex-Serviceman (ESM) — retired from the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force.
• You must have held the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or equivalent at the time you left service.
• You need a 3-year Degree in any discipline (Pass Class) from a recognized university.
• You must have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience.
• Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Limit (as on 01 February 2026)

• Unreserved (UR): Up to 50 years
• OBC: Up to 53 years

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get the E-1 Grade IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) pay scale:

• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 – 3% – Rs. 1,20,000
• In addition, all admissible allowances as per BEL company rules will be paid.

This is a competitive pay package offered by a NavRatna PSU under the central government.

Selection Process

The selection will happen in three stages:

1. Written Test — 85 marks
2. Interview — 15 marks
3. Medical Examination — by a Civil Surgeon (pre-employment)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in a 1:7 ratio based on their written test score. The final merit list will be based on the combined score of the written test and interview.

• Manage and supervise security operations at the assigned BEL unit or RPSC facility
