AIIMS Project Research Scientist II Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is recruiting project scientists for the PrECISE study in its Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This multicentre implementation study focuses on care for preterm and low-birth-weight babies, including early respiratory support, mother-and-baby care, antenatal steroids and early feeding. The appointments support the study at Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, with separate medical and non-medical roles.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Research Scientist-II (Medical): This role centres on coordinating the study site, supervising project activities and keeping the implementation work on track.
• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): This role centres on project data, databases, analysis and reporting to support the study's monitoring and learning.

Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-II (Medical)

You will coordinate site-level project work, monitor milestones and help different stakeholders work together. The role also covers quality checks, institutional review processes and project records. You will prepare reports for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and check that the project follows its review and compliance requirements.

Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)

You will oversee data cleaning, consolidation and analysis, while keeping project databases usable and accurate. Your analysis will feed into progress reports and help the team make decisions using current data. The work also supports monitoring and evaluation through timely analysis and reporting.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment starts for 3 months. The notice allows a 6-month extension within the project duration, depending on satisfactory performance.
• Project appointment: This temporary engagement gives you no claim to a regular AIIMS appointment.
• Travel costs: AIIMS will not provide travel or daily allowance for this recruitment.
