AIIMS Delhi Scientist and JRF Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is hiring research staff for a lung cancer study in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dr BRAIRCH. The BMS Foundation-funded project looks at low-dose CT screening among people at high risk and examines the availability and impact of lung cancer care pathways. You would join a contractual research team working under the principal investigator and co-investigators.

• Project Research Scientist-I: This role supports the study across participating centres, with attention to consistent screening practices and the quality of research information.
• Junior Research Fellow: This role works at site level, helping participants move through screening and keeping their progress recorded.

Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-I

You will help put the low-dose CT screening protocol into practice and coordinate with participating centres. Your work includes checking screening records, recording referrals and diagnostic timelines, and helping analyse outcomes and care pathway indicators.

The scientist role also contributes to staff training and calibration activities. You will help turn the project findings into progress reports, presentations and research manuscripts for the study team.

Junior Research Fellow

You will support participant-facing screening activities, including consent, baseline assessments and questionnaires. You will coordinate scan appointments and help participants navigate the screening pathway while recording outcomes.

Your site records will track referrals, diagnostic procedures, treatment initiation and follow-up schedules. You will also enter data, check its quality and provide updates on site activities so the wider team can follow the work.
