AIIMS Jammu is hiring 29 non-faculty technician posts at Vijaypur, Jammu on a contract basis. If you have 10+2 Science, Diploma, B.Sc, or relevant technical experience, you can apply online and then send the printed form by post. The online form closes on 25 June 2026, and the hard copy must reach AIIMS Jammu by 30 June 2026. Selected candidates will get a fixed salary of Rs. 51,684 per month.

AIIMS Jammu Technician Recruitment 2026 - 29 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Vijaypur Jammu (AIIMS Jammu), a central autonomous institute under MoHFW, Government of India, has released Employment Notification No. AIIMS/Jammu/Temp.Rect./2026 dated 10 June 2026. This notice covers 10 healthcare technician roles including Cath Lab Technician, CSSD Technician, ECG Technician, Medical Lab Technician, OT and Anaesthesia Technician, Perfusionist, and Radiographic Technician. The engagement is purely contractual up to 31 October 2026 or until regular sanctioned posts are filled, whichever is earlier.

  • Medical Lab Technician: 7 posts (UR-4, OBC-1, EWS-1, ST-1)
  • Cath Lab Technician: 5 posts (UR-4, OBC-1)
  • Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technician: 4 posts (UR-2, OBC-1, ST-1)
  • Ophthalmic Technician Grade-I: 3 posts (UR-2, OBC-1)
  • Radio Therapy Technician Grade-II: 3 posts (UR-2, SC-1)
  • Perfusionist: 2 posts (UR-1, OBC-1)
  • Radiographic Technician Grade-I: 2 posts (UR-1, EWS-1)
  • CSSD Technician: 1 post (UR-1)
  • Echo-Cardiographic Technician: 1 post (UR-1)
  • Electrocardiogram Technician (ECG): 1 post (UR-1)

Who Can Apply?

Clinical and Cardiac Technician Posts

  • Cath Lab Technician: B.Sc. in Cardiac Technology, or 2-year Cath Lab Diploma with 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
  • Echo-Cardiographic Technician: B.Sc. in Cardiac Laboratory Technology with 1 year of experience, or a Master's degree in the relevant subject. Echo study skills are desirable.
  • ECG Technician: 10+2 with Science and a 2-year ECG Technician Diploma from a recognised university or institute.
  • Perfusionist: B.Sc. degree plus Certificate in Perfusion Technology after training in a recognised centre, with at least 1 year of clinical perfusion experience.

Lab, OT, Imaging, CSSD and Ophthalmic Posts

  • CSSD Technician: B.Sc. Microbiology/Medical Technology with 3 years of CSSD experience in a 200-bedded hospital, or Staff Nurse Grade-A registration with 2 years of CSSD experience, or Theatre Assistant course with 4 years of CSSD experience.
  • Medical Lab Technician: 10+2 Science and Diploma in Medical Lab Technology. B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology is desirable.
  • OT and Anaesthesia Technician: B.Sc. in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc. OT Technology, or B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technology.
  • Ophthalmic Technician Grade-I: B.Sc. in Optometry/Ophthalmic Techniques or equivalent.
  • Radio Therapy Technician Grade-II: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Radiotherapy/Radiology, or Diploma in Radiotherapy/Radiology with 2 years of experience. Computer knowledge is desirable.
  • Radiographic Technician Grade-I: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Radiography, or Diploma in Radiography with 2 years of experience. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age for all advertised posts is 35 years.
  • Age and eligibility are counted as on the last date of online application, which is 25 June 2026.
  • Experience rule: only experience gained after the required degree or diploma will be counted.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will receive fixed monthly pay of Rs. 51,684.
  • This is a contractual salary; benefits such as PF, NPS, gratuity, regular seniority, promotion, or regular government-service benefits are not available.
  • The appointment can end on 31 October 2026 or earlier as per the institute's contract terms.

Selection Process

AIIMS Jammu will select candidates through an Applied Test and/or Interview for 100 marks. The institute may first allow applicants to appear provisionally, and then check documents of those who attend the test or interview.

  1. Applied Test / Interview: Total assessment is for 100 marks.
  2. Document Verification: Qualification, age, experience, registration certificate, identity proof, and other documents will be checked.
  3. Merit List: If two candidates get the same marks at the cut-off, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
  4. Waiting List: Remaining suitable candidates may be kept in a waiting list for future non-joining or resignation cases.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the AIIMS Jammu recruitment page at aiimsjammu.edu.in and open the non-faculty contract notification.
  2. Use the online application portal at exams.aiimsjammu.edu.in.
  3. Keep scanned copies ready for date of birth proof, qualification certificate, registration certificate if applicable, photo, signature, thumb impression, and valid ID proof.
  4. Fill in the online application form carefully and submit it before 25 June 2026.
  5. Take a printout of the submitted form, self-attest every page and attachment, and send it by Speed Post or hand delivery.
  6. Send the hard copy to Administrative Officer, Academic Block, 5th Floor, AIIMS Vijaypur, Jammu, 181134 so it reaches by 30 June 2026.
