CSIR IIIM Senior Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview
CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) is recruiting a Senior Project Associate for a chemistry research project in Jammu. The institute works under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), within the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology.
Project GAP-3102, funded by NDTL, concerns the synthesis of reference standards and laboratory and animal studies of metabolites, including long-term metabolites. You would join this project-based engagement under advertisement 33/2026.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: Your engagement lasts with the project, whose current end date is 10 January 2027. The notice ties the appointment to that project duration.
- Overall service limit: Project engagements across all CSIR laboratories count towards a combined limit of six years. Earlier CSIR project service therefore matters when calculating your available tenure.
- Performance review: The institute reviews your work periodically. Unsatisfactory performance can end the engagement without prior notice or a stated reason.
- Temporary arrangement: You work on behalf of the project sponsor. The appointment gives you no claim to a permanent post or absorption in CSIR-IIIM or CSIR.
- Interview language: You may speak in English or Hindi when interacting with the committee.
- Project requirements: The institute may change the number of positions according to project needs. The Director can also leave advertised positions unfilled.
- Conduct: Seeking recommendations or applying pressure can disqualify you from consideration.
- Travel: You must arrange your own travel costs, as the institute will not pay travelling or daily allowance for attending.

You receive Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA. HRA applies only when institutional accommodation is not provided or used.
The upper age limit is 40 years as on 22 September 2026. You may claim age relaxation under Government of India rules where applicable.
