"Tribhuvan" Sahkari University (TSU), an Institution of National Importance created in 2025, needs a Resident Engineer to oversee the physical systems behind its teaching, training and research work. The role brings together campus maintenance, construction supervision, estate planning and utility coordination rather than focusing on a single engineering project. This is a three-year contractual appointment, not a regular engineering cadre post.

You would be the practical link between university administrators, site teams, maintenance contractors, local authorities and utility departments. The position covers both everyday campus reliability and longer-term infrastructure development, from preventive maintenance schedules to quality checks on capital works. It is best suited to an experienced engineer who can move between technical review, field supervision, contract administration and budget tracking without losing sight of safety or service continuity.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract: The appointment is for three years on consolidated pay. The notification does not give any assurance of regular absorption or extension.
• Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen, and TSU decides eligibility against the closing day of the online application period.
• Experience calculation: Only work completed after acquiring the essential engineering qualification is counted. Your certificates should identify the technical responsibilities, supervisory level and exact period of service.
• Technical scope: The engineer is expected to work with the National Building Code, CPWD specifications, green-building norms and structural-audit practices. The job also calls for confidence with project scheduling, drawings, tender systems and infrastructure contracts.
• Shortlisting: Minimum qualifications do not guarantee an interview. The scrutiny committee may set a higher benchmark based on applicants' qualifications and experience, and TSU can use a screening test for shortlisting.
