TMC Plastic Surgery Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is recruiting a One Year Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre at New Chandigarh. The fellowship sits within Surgical Oncology, giving you exposure to reconstructive work in a specialist cancer-care setting. This is a fixed-tenure clinical fellowship, suited to a qualified plastic surgeon who wants focused experience alongside multidisciplinary oncology teams.

The hospital is part of TMC's national cancer-care network under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Your work will be based initially at the Punjab centre, where reconstructive surgery supports patients whose treatment may involve complex tumour removal and recovery needs. Clinical experience gained after the essential specialist qualification is the factor used to place the selected fellow within the stated pay range.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Tenure: The fellowship runs for a fixed period of one year from the date you join. TMC may make the initial offer on consolidated terms for the same fixed period.
  • Work location: The initial placement is at HBCHRC, New Chandigarh. TMC can rotate an appointed fellow to its other units when patient-care or institutional needs call for it.
  • Accommodation: Shared accommodation may be available on a chargeable basis, but allotment depends on availability.
  • Current government employees: If you work for a government, autonomous, semi-government or public-sector organisation, you need permission from your employer before attending.
  • Experience assessment: Only experience gained after completing the essential specialist qualification is considered for this fellowship.
  • Screening standard: TMC may set a higher benchmark or limit the number of people interviewed after reviewing qualifications, marks and relevant experience.
  • Original records: Your original certificates will be checked at the venue. Any material mismatch or hidden information can lead to cancellation, including after appointment.
  • Jurisdiction: Any dispute connected with this recruitment falls under the courts at SAS Nagar, Punjab.
