NMICPS TiHAN Foundation at IIT Hyderabad (TiHAN-IITH) is recruiting Junior Research Assistant Fellows (JRAFs) for work spanning embedded systems, artificial intelligence, drones and communication networks. TiHAN is a Technology Innovation Hub supported by the Department of Science and Technology for autonomous navigation and data-acquisition technologies. Posts and Disciplines

• Embedded Systems: Work with embedded platforms, electrical systems, equipment integration and testbed operation.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Focus on multimodal AI, computer vision and real-time deployment for traffic and autonomous-system scenarios.
• Drone and UAV: Support autonomous navigation, sensor fusion, UAV software and the analysis of operational data.

Post-wise Duties

Embedded Systems

You will help design and control electrical systems, check that installations follow safety standards, and work with researchers and technicians on new testbed processes. You may also assess system performance, report test results and support planning for equipment needs.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

You will work with multimodal and real-world traffic data, build computer-vision or machine-learning components and help move models toward real-time use. The work calls for attention to deployment reliability in safety-critical applications.

Drone and UAV

You will support autonomous navigation and sensor-fusion work, use UAV software and analyse data produced during experiments. Your contribution may connect flight-system behaviour with the wider TiHAN testbed.

Communication and Networking

You will apply knowledge of digital communication systems, including modulation, coding and synchronization, while developing embedded or SDR components in C, C++ or Python. The focus is on dependable communication for research systems.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• On-site work: The position is based within the IIT Hyderabad campus and is not presented as a remote role.
• Accommodation: Neither TiHAN Foundation nor IIT Hyderabad will provide accommodation, so you must arrange your own stay and travel.
