TCIL 5G Project Recruitment 2026: Overview

Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise, is building a small contractual team for the 100 5G Use Case Labs Project. The work connects telecom engineering with real-world lab delivery, hackathons and project support. Both roles are based in Delhi but involve site visits across India, so you should be comfortable moving between technical coordination, field activity and communication with project partners.

Posts and Disciplines

• TECH Team: This role is for telecom and computing engineers who understand 5G architecture, RAN and core systems, testing, integration or the development of sector-specific 5G use cases. The work can touch education, healthcare, government and industry labs.
• Hackathon and Project Support: This role combines event delivery with user support. It fits someone who has organised hackathons or major events, managed logistics and vendors, promoted participation and resolved incoming support requests.

Post-wise Duties

TECH Team

You will support the integration and delivery of end-to-end 4G and 5G solutions for the lab network. Depending on your specialisation, you may work with core and IMS systems, MEC, CU-DU and DU-RU testing, RF surveys, radio configuration, network operations or use-case applications involving IoT, AI, AR, VR and drones.

You will also help teams understand evolving 3GPP standards and SA or NSA deployment choices. The role needs practical problem-solving across design, testing, deployment and field coordination, rather than only theoretical telecom knowledge.

Hackathon and Project Support

You will plan and run virtual or physical hackathons, including promotion, registrations, logistics, vendor coordination and participant engagement. You will also handle customer-support requests, record clear tickets and track issues until they are resolved.

The project expects you to connect event ideas with working prototypes and maintain smooth relations with clients and partners. Strong organisation matters because several activities may move at the same time across different locations.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial deployment is for at least twelve months. Renewal is yearly and depends on performance, the project period and the decision of TCIL or the user department.
• Regularisation: The engagement is temporary and gives you no claim to a regular TCIL appointment or parity with regular employees.
• Performance review: TCIL reviews assignment delivery every quarter. Continuation and any annual increase depend on satisfactory work.
• Work location: You will be stationed in Delhi and may travel to project sites across India. Office hours, shifts, roster, placement and reporting arrangements are set by TCIL.
• Benefits: Casual leave is available on a proportionate basis along with Central Government gazetted holidays. TCIL does not provide accommodation, HRA or medical cover for these contracts.
• Conduct: Contract staff follow TCIL's conduct, discipline and appeal rules. The role does not carry statutory, legal or financial powers.
• Ending the contract: The agreement can be closed with one month's notice. TCIL may terminate it for missed milestones, unsatisfactory quality, failure to complete assignments or integrity concerns.
• After joining: Police clearance and medical fitness are checked after joining. You must report within the time stated in the offer.
