Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is building a mixed technical and support team for the Maruti Assisted Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) project through its College of Agriculture. The work connects research, field trials, laboratory analysis and farmer outreach across OUAT's Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Bhubaneswar headquarters. Every engagement is contractual and tied to the life of the project, so this drive suits people who are comfortable working in a field-focused research programme.

Posts and Disciplines

• Consultant: a senior Soil Science or Agronomy role that guides the work plan, reviews progress and oversees the full project.
• Young Professional I: an agriculture or horticulture role supporting trials, laboratory work and project activity at KVKs and headquarters.
• Young Professional II: a specialist Soil Science or Agronomy role focused on supervising field trials, analysis and project delivery.
• Project Assistant: a practical support role covering office, laboratory, field, finance and reporting work.
• Field Assistant: an on-ground role helping with trials, sample collection and laboratory support across project sites.

Post-wise Duties

Consultant

You will prepare the project work plan, coordinate the team, monitor implementation and shape progress reports for the principal investigator. Your role also connects the research plan with farmer-awareness and FOM popularisation activity.

Young Professional I

You will conduct trials, support laboratory analysis and keep project activity moving at KVKs and the head office. You may shift between field and desk work as trial schedules change.

Young Professional II

You will supervise field experiments, guide sampling and analysis, and help turn results into usable project records. The role carries more responsibility for the quality and continuity of field work.

Project Assistant

You will support office, laboratory and field operations, while also helping with finance records and project reports. This is the coordination role that keeps paperwork, supplies and day-to-day project needs aligned.

Field Assistant

You will assist with plot work, sample collection, trial activity and basic laboratory support. Expect regular movement between KVK field sites and project workspaces.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: every appointment is co-terminus with the project and creates no claim to a regular OUAT or government post.
• Exit condition: you may leave after giving one month's notice to the project investigator; otherwise, the notice requires a deposit equal to one month's fixed pay.
• Termination: OUAT may end an engagement without notice, and failure to follow official discipline or perform assigned work can also lead to termination.
• Position flexibility: the authority may increase, reduce or cancel positions according to project needs.
• Travel support: no TA or DA is payable for attending the assessment.
