IIT BHU JRF Edge UAV Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi (IIT BHU) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow in its Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The work belongs to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) project, Edge-UAV: Malicious UAV Identification in a Dynamic UAV Network Zone. You would join a research appointment focused on identifying malicious unmanned aerial vehicles within a changing network.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The project runs for three years, while your initial appointment is for one year. Further continuation depends on your performance, so the full project duration is not an unconditional appointment from the start.
• Temporary engagement: Your fellowship is tied to the project and ends with it. The notice describes the position as temporary; consider that condition when deciding whether the commitment suits your plans.
• Continuity: The project team expects the selected fellow to stay with the work rather than leave midway. You should take this expectation into account before accepting the appointment.
• Shortlisting discretion: The project investigator may use qualifications and experience above the stated minimum to keep the shortlist manageable. Meeting the basic conditions therefore does not guarantee an invitation.
