Responsibilities

  • Provide dental care and treatment to patients at government hospitals and community health centres across Odisha
  • Conduct dental examinations, diagnose oral diseases, and perform dental procedures including extractions, fillings, and root canals
  • Carry out preventive dental health programmes and oral hygiene awareness campaigns in assigned areas
  • Maintain proper records of patients treated and report to the department as required
  • Work in coordination with medical officers and other healthcare staff at the assigned health facility
  • Attend to emergency dental cases and refer complex cases to higher centres when needed

Exam Pattern

The written examination for OPSC Dental Surgeon consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each, for a total of 200 marks.
