NRTC Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Research & Technology Consortium (NRTC), an autonomous body under the Government of Himachal Pradesh, is hiring technical, accounts, laboratory, IT and environmental staff for project work handled by HPTDB, HPMC, HIMCOSTE and the HP State Electricity Board. This is an outsourced engagement linked to time-bound project assignments, so it suits you if your background matches one of the named roles and you are comfortable working with a borrowing agency rather than joining NRTC's regular establishment. One notice covers all of these assignments, with work spread across Shimla, Parala and Parwanoo.
Posts and Disciplines
- Junior Engineer Civil: civil engineering support for the HPTDB project implementation unit in Shimla.
- Assistant Account Officer: project accounting and financial-management work for the HPTDB unit.
- Draftsman Civil: civil drawings and technical records for the HPTDB project management unit in Shimla.
- Instrumentation Engineer: electronics and communication-based instrumentation work at the HPMC fruit-processing plant in Parala.
- Assistant Technical Officer Food Technology: production and administrative support in fruit processing at HPMC Parala.
- Operator Maintenance: operation and upkeep of food-industry plant and machinery at HPMC Parwanoo.
- Lab Technician: laboratory support connected with fruit and vegetable processing at HPMC Parwanoo.
- IT Professional: technical work for the HIMCOSTE AGiSAC assignment.
- Environmental Specialist or Expert: environmental-impact and safeguard work for the HP State Electricity Board.
Post-wise Duties
Engineering and Drafting Roles
You will support civil works, drawings or instrumentation for the assigned project unit, keep technical records current and coordinate with the team using those records in day-to-day project work.
Accounts and Food-Plant Roles
You will handle project accounts, production support, machinery operation or laboratory checks, depending on the position. The accounts role uses Tally, while the plant roles are tied closely to the working environment of HPMC's processing facilities.
IT and Environmental Roles
You will contribute specialist input to geospatial or environmental project activity. The environmental assignment particularly focuses on field-based impact work and safeguards used in projects supported by the World Bank or other development agencies.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Engagement status: These are outsourced assignments, not Government, semi-Government or sanctioned NRTC posts.
- Tenure: The work is initially linked to a time-bound project arrangement for one year and remains coterminous with completion of the project work.
- Regularisation: You must provide an affidavit confirming that you will not claim regular employment or an NRTC regular pay scale from either NRTC or the borrowing agency.
- Assignment decision: Your academic record, relevant experience and interview performance will be considered together.
Application Submission Notes
Attend the walk-in at NRTC's Sector 1 office premises, Parwanoo, with the filled application form and a recent passport-size photograph. Reporting is for the scheduled 11:00 AM interview, so carry a complete, organised set of attested supporting papers and clearly write the position name on your application.
