National Rural Livelihoods Mission Karnataka (NRLM Karnataka) is hiring a Cluster Supervisor - Skill for Hangal taluka in Haveri district. The role supports rural youth as they move from first hearing about a skills programme to joining training and finding work. The supervisor acts as the local link between candidates, parents, Project Implementing Agencies and mission officials. You will help plan mobilisation activity, keep skill and candidate records current, and follow up when a learner drops out of training or leaves a job. The unusual feature of this role is its end-to-end scope: contact continues after training so that placement details, feedback and grievances reach the district mission team.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Field coverage: Work extends across villages, Gram Panchayats and block-level locations in Hangal. Mobilisation meetings, camps, awareness drives and visits to training centres are central to the assignment.
• Partner coordination: You will work closely with Project Implementing Agencies on sanctioned targets, training-centre information, courses, job roles and monthly mobilisation plans. Block and district functionaries also need timely updates.
• Candidate support: The role includes helping candidates and parents understand training options, supporting counselling activity and sharing joining information. Residential-course candidates may also need coordination around travel arrangements.
• Training follow-up: You will flag learner difficulties and dropouts to the relevant mission officials, record the reasons, and support efforts to bring candidates back into suitable training.
• Placement tracking: Follow-up continues after a candidate gets work. You will keep employer and candidate contact details, update the designated tracking system, and give special attention to the follow-up of placed women candidates.
• Records and reporting: Village and block data must be organised in the skill register and entered in Kaushal Panjee. Candidate status, feedback, grievances and reasons for refusing or leaving a job must reach DMMU and BPM teams.
• Capacity building: The supervisor helps organise quarterly workshops and exposure visits for block officials and community-level workers, covering mobilisation, youth identification, placement and tracking. These sessions also explain DDU-GKY basics and the roles of district and sub-district functionaries.
