National Rural Livelihoods Mission Karnataka (NRLM Karnataka) is looking for a Block Manager - Non-Farm Livelihood for Ranibennur taluka in Haveri district. The role sits close to village-level enterprise activity and connects the mission's block plans with entrepreneurs, community institutions and support agencies. This is a field-facing programme role rather than a desk-only administrative position.

Your work will support the NRLM, NRETP and SVEP non-farm programmes at block level. The manager turns the Annual Action Plan into local activity, follows enterprise progress and helps community organisations take ownership of programme elements. The position suits someone who can move comfortably between data, business support and coordination with rural institutions.

A major part of the role is building a dependable picture of enterprises and entrepreneurs across Ranibennur. Baseline information must stay current in the relevant MIS, while field progress has to be turned into clear monitoring reports, learning notes and case studies. You will also connect entrepreneurs with markets such as monthly fairs, kiosks, e-commerce channels and bulk buyers, depending on what works for their businesses.

The job also links enterprise needs with finance, skills and technical support. You may coordinate with federations, self-help groups, the district mission unit, training agencies, RSETIs, technical agencies, start-ups, incubators and NGOs. The common thread is practical follow-through: identify potential entrepreneurs, help them reach training or finance, and keep checking whether promised support is producing useful results.

At the community-institution level, the Block Manager helps identify and prepare community cadres for non-farm work. Livelihood sub-committees within STLFs and GPLFs need capacity support so programme functions do not remain dependent on the mission team. This makes relationship-building important: you will clarify each activity, track what partners agreed to do and raise gaps with district or state teams before they slow down enterprise support.
