National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) Project Associate I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) has released a notification (Advertisement No. NITS/Dean(R&C)/Chemistry/698/02/2026, dated 13 August 2026) for 1 Project Associate I post in the Department of Chemistry, for an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored project titled "Photo-induced pathway control in aqueous metallo-supramolecular polymers for switchable (semi)conductor" (Project Sanction No. ANRF/ECRG/2024/001332/CS). The position is initially for 12 months and extendable until project completion, subject to availability of funds and a performance review. This is a good opportunity for MSc Chemistry graduates interested in organic synthesis and materials research under Principal Investigator Dr. Papri Sutar.

The project explores how light can be used to control the structure and behaviour of water-based metal-organic polymer materials that can switch between conducting and non-conducting states — a research area with applications in advanced electronic and sensor materials. Working on this project will give you exposure to organic synthesis, material characterization, and cutting-edge materials chemistry research at a Government of India funded institute.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: MSc in Chemistry or BS-MS in Chemistry.
  • Desirable: Basic knowledge of Organic Chemistry and prior experience in organic synthesis and characterization.

Age Limit
