NISER JRF Chemistry Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar is hiring a Junior Research Fellow for an ANRF-funded project in its School of Chemical Sciences at Jatni, Odisha. The project studies metallocorroles as catalytic antioxidants to address amyloid-beta-induced neurotoxicity in Alzheimer's disease. This is a project-based engagement at an autonomous institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: Your appointment will last for one year or until the project finishes, whichever happens first. The position ends with the project, so you should consider the project timeline when deciding whether this engagement fits your plans.
• PhD caveat: NISER specifically says that this position does not lead to a PhD degree at the institute. Joining as a research fellow under this advertisement therefore does not provide a doctoral route through this appointment.
• Future employment: The appointment gives you no claim to consideration for, or absorption into, another NISER post. The notice ties the engagement to this research project.
