NISER Post-Doctoral Fellow Recruitment 2026

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar is hiring 4 Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDF) in its School of Earth & Planetary Sciences (SEPS). You need a PhD in a relevant area to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis by email — there is no fixed last date, and the position stays open until suitable candidates are found. NISER Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

NISER Bhubaneswar, an autonomous research institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, has released a rolling advertisement (No. NISER/SEPS/PDF/Plan/2026-2027) for 4 Post-Doctoral Fellow / Research Associate positions in its School of Earth & Planetary Sciences. The posts are funded from Plan Project RNI 4011 and are open to Indian nationals with a PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences or a related area. The selected fellow will work with a specific research group in SEPS depending on mutual research interest, for an initial tenure of one year (extendable by another year based on performance).

• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply.

Salary

• Fellowship is paid as per existing rules of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or for joining the position.

Selection Process

Selection is based on your application and an interview:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your CV, statement of research interest, and letters of reference.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in person or through video-conferencing before the final selection.

• Prepare reports, manuscripts and presentations based on research outcomes
• Assist in mentoring junior students where required
