NII BRIC Secretariat Consultant & Young Professional Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

National Institute of Immunology (NII), a premier research institute under the Biotechnology Research & Innovation Council (BRIC), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has invited applications for 2 contract-based positions at the BRIC Secretariat located in New Delhi. These roles are in the Administration, Finance & Accounts, and Scientific Coordination departments. Selection will be through interview only -- there is no written exam for these positions. Experienced professionals with backgrounds in general administration, HR, management, or scientific project coordination are encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Consultant Post:

• Option 1: Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university with at least 10 years of relevant experience in General Administration and Establishment in Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs
• Option 2: Master's Degree from a recognised university with at least 6 years of relevant experience in General Administration and Establishment in Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs
• Option 3: Ph.D. in Science or Engineering from a recognised university

For Young Professional Post:

• Option 1: Master's Degree / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Pharm / PGD in Management with at least 4 years of experience and minimum 60% marks
• Option 2: Bachelor's Degree in any subject with at least 10 years of experience and minimum 60% marks
• Preference: Candidates with experience in HR, Management, or coordination of large scientific projects will be preferred

Age Limit

• Consultant: Below 55 years as on 09 April 2026
• Young Professional: Below 40 years as on 09 April 2026
• Age Relaxation: If you have relevant contractual experience at any DBT Autonomous Institute, the time spent in that role will be deducted from the maximum age limit for the post you are applying for

Salary

• Consultant: Fixed consolidated salary of Rs. 80,000 per month
• Young Professional: Fixed consolidated salary of Rs. 60,000 per month
• No other allowances are admissible -- the salary is a fixed consolidated amount as per GoI guidelines
• For re-employed candidates (Consultant), pay is calculated by deducting basic pension from the last drawn pay
• Leave: Paid leave at the rate of 1.5 days per completed month of service (no accumulation beyond a calendar year)

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Meeting the essential qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call -- NII reserves the right to shortlist candidates
2. Document Verification: You will need to present original documents at the time of interview

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates from Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or provide a NOC at the time of interview.

3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all educational qualifications, experience certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and a recent passport-size photograph

• Monitor and review rules, regulations, and policies related to service matters and financial regulations at the BRIC Secretariat
• Coordinate with BRIC research institutes for managing inter-institutional projects and scientific programmes
• Prepare input for annual reports, progress reports, and other organisational documents
• Organise high-level committee meetings for scientific and administrative purposes, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions
• Assist in drafting scientific advisory committee reports, project documents, and science communication materials
• Manage administrative preparation for meetings, events, and conferences related to the Secretariat
• Prepare and distribute post-event documents such as meeting minutes, action plans, and summary reports
