NBEMS Research Associate Recruitment 2026 — 30 Vacancies

NBEMS is hiring 30 Research Associates across Medical, IT, Finance, Cyber Security, and 8 other streams, on a contract basis. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) Research Associate Recruitment 2026 - 30 Posts

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has released a notice for 30 Research Associate posts spread across 12 different streams — Medical, Non-Medical, IT, Finance & Accounts, Rajbhasha, Procurement, Estate, Travel Desk, Establishment, Editorial, Cyber Security, and Secretarial. Research Associate-I (Medical) has the highest vacancy count at 12 posts, reserved for candidates with MBBS or BDS. These are contract posts with an initial term of 1 year, extendable up to 3-5 years based on your performance, with no regularization rights.

Category-wise reservation is notified for the Medical stream (UR-5, OBC-3, SC-2, ST-1, EWS-1) and the Non-Medical stream (UR-3, OBC-1); all other streams are fully UR (Unreserved).

Who Can Apply?

Research Associate-I (Medical) - 12 posts:

• Qualification: MBBS or BDS (or equivalent)
• Preferred: Experience in government, semi-government, autonomous, academic or examination institutions

Research Associate-I (Non-Medical) - 4 posts:

• Qualification: Graduation plus Post-Graduation in any subject, with computer knowledge
• Preferred: 5 years of experience in government/semi-government/autonomous/academic/examination institutions

Research Associate-I (IT) - 2 posts:

• Qualification: Graduate in Computer Applications/IT/Computer Science/AI/Operating Systems/Software Engineering
• Experience: 3-5 years in the relevant field; certifications like CCNA/CCNP, RHCE/MCSE, Oracle/SQL DBA, CEH, or ITIL v4 are preferred

Research Associate-II (Finance & Accounts) - 1 post:

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or equivalent, OR CMA/CS, OR M.Com
• Experience: 3 years post-qualification with GST, TDS, income tax and accounts knowledge

Research Associate-I (Rajbhasha) - 2 posts:

• Qualification: Master's degree in Hindi (with English as a subject) or English (with Hindi as a subject), as per UGC-recognized combinations
• Experience: 2 years of Hindi-English translation work in Central/State Government offices or PSUs

Research Associate-I (Procurement) - 1 post:

• Qualification: Graduate in any subject with a good academic record
• Experience: Minimum 5 years, including at least 3 years in procurement and contract management; knowledge of GFR, CVC guidelines, and RFP/RFQ/EOI

Research Associate-I (Estate) - 1 post:

• Qualification: Graduate plus a PG degree/diploma in Estate/Facility/Infrastructure Management, OR a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Real Estate Management
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in estate, property, or facility management

Research Associate-I (Travel Desk) - 1 post:

• Qualification: Graduate in any subject with a good academic record; IATA certification preferred
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in travel desk operations, airline ticketing, and travel management

Research Associate-I (Establishment) - 2 posts:

• Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university
• Experience: Minimum 3 years, with knowledge of service rules, CCS leave rules, GPF, NPS and RTI

Research Associate-I (Editorial) - 2 posts:

• Qualification: Graduate degree from a recognized university
• Preferred: Publication experience in medical journals

Research Associate-II (Cyber Security) - 1 post:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Cyber Security/IT, OR M.Sc in Electronics/Physics/Applied Electronics/Computer Science/IT
• Experience: 15 years in IT systems, including 8 years in information/cyber security; CISSP/CISM/CISA/ISO 27001 preferred

Research Associate-I (Secretarial) - 1 post:

• Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university
• Experience: Minimum 3 years, preferably in government departments, autonomous bodies or PSUs

Age Limit

• You should be up to 40 years old for Research Associate-I posts, and up to 45 years for Research Associate-II posts.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in examination institutions get a 5-year age relaxation.
• PwBD: Reservation for Divyang candidates applies as per existing government rules.
• Age Reference: Your age, qualification, and experience will be calculated from the date the advertisement was published in Employment News.

Salary

• Research Associate-I posts pay a consolidated salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Research Associate-II posts (Finance & Accounts, Cyber Security) pay a consolidated salary of Rs. 95,000 per month.
• You can get up to 5% annual increment based on satisfactory performance, reviewed case by case.
• No other allowances, benefits, or regularization rights apply — this is a purely contractual engagement.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interaction)

There is no fixed written exam for these posts. Selection is done through:

1. Document Verification: Bring original documents for age, qualification, experience, and category proof on your walk-in day.
2. Walk-in Interaction: A panel will screen and interact with you; the decision to shortlist is at the panel's discretion.

NBEMS reserves the right to conduct a written test or set its own selection criteria at any stage.
