Mizoram State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MzSRLM) is recruiting Project Managers in Livelihood and Marketing for its State Mission Management Unit. The mission is a society under Mizoram’s Rural Development & Administration Department, and these appointments support its rural livelihoods work. Post-wise Duties

Project Manager Livelihood

You will coordinate with mission teams and community institutions working on livelihoods programmes. Your work includes monitoring progress, collecting primary and secondary information, preparing policy material and documents, and following up with project implementing agencies.

The role also includes coordination with government departments and support for people working in the relevant theme. You will connect programme information from the field with the state unit’s monitoring and planning work.

Project Manager Marketing

You will help producer groups and producer enterprises with production, activities after production, supply chains and market connections. The remit covers both farm and non-farm livelihoods supported by the mission.

Alongside this technical work, you will handle programme coordination and monitoring, collect information and prepare documents. You will work with mission units, community institutions and government departments to support the marketing theme.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial observation: You will first complete a three-month observation period. This gives the mission a period to assess your work before continuing with the engagement.
• Contract term: The job description provides for a one-year contract, with continued engagement linked to your performance. The main advertisement also ties the appointment to a fixed tenure or the life of the scheme.
• Performance review: Your engagement can end during the contract if your performance does not meet the mission's needs. Completing the initial period does not remove this condition.
• Extension: A further contract depends on your performance after the first year. You should not treat an extension as automatic.
• Transfer: The stated unit is your initial posting, but the mission can transfer you anywhere within Mizoram. Keep this condition in mind even when the advertisement names a particular office.
• Field travel: Both roles involve long stays in rural areas and extensive travel within and outside Mizoram. This is a stated part of the work, even though the initial posting is at the state unit.
• Recruitment changes: MzSRLM can change or cancel the recruitment without giving a reason. It will not enter into correspondence about the recruitment process.
