Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, is recruiting a senior Civil Planning and Design professional for its metro projects. The role supports the Bhopal and Indore systems and may also serve another corporation project as work demands change. The appointment can be made at General Manager or Additional General Manager level, depending on the selected person's experience, present grade and chosen engagement route. This is a leadership assignment for an engineer who already understands how large rail infrastructure moves from surveys and approvals into coordinated execution.

The position sits at the point where design decisions, statutory clearances and construction planning meet. You should be comfortable reviewing estimates and detailed project reports while coordinating with technical teams, public authorities and senior management. Experience with metro, railway, high-speed rail or regional rapid transit work is central to the role; exposure to viaducts, bridges, underground stations and modern tunnelling methods receives additional weight.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement routes: MPMRCL may appoint you on deputation, contract or re-employment, and the service terms differ for each route.
• Contract tenure: The initial term is three years and may extend to five years, subject to project need; it cannot run beyond the applicable upper-age condition.
• Deputation tenure: The initial three-year period may extend to five years or follow the conditions of your parent organisation.
• Re-employment tenure: The first appointment is for one year, with yearly extensions possible within the stated overall limit.
• Level decision: MPMRCL may fill the single requirement at either senior level. An officer selected at AGM level on deputation can be considered for promotion after completing the prescribed combined service, subject to eligibility and an available GM post.
• Posting liability: You are likely to work at Bhopal, Indore or another MPMRCL project. The corporation may post you outside Madhya Pradesh or move you to a related civil sub-domain when required.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee a call. Relevant metro experience and seniority in the required grade receive priority.
• Communication: Keep your registered email active because MPMRCL sends shortlisting and schedule information electronically rather than by post.
• Medical fitness: Final appointment depends on meeting the corporation's medical standards.
