Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA Metro), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra, is recruiting experienced finance professionals on a regular basis. The work supports the Nagpur Metro, Pune Metro and Thane Integral Ring Metro projects, with the senior Thane role carrying responsibility for finance leadership on a growing urban-rail network. This drive is designed for people who already handle complex accounts in metro, railway, public-sector or infrastructure organisations, rather than for entry-level applicants.

MAHA Metro manages both project delivery and operating responsibilities across Maharashtra. That means your finance work may connect construction contracts, operating expenditure, treasury decisions and compliance across more than one project. CA or ICWA professionals with hands-on infrastructure finance experience are the closest fit, especially if they have already worked with enterprise accounting systems.

Posts and Disciplines

• Deputy General Manager (Finance): the senior finance role is attached to the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project and calls for executive-level command of corporate accounts, tax, treasury and contract scrutiny.
• Manager or Assistant Manager (Finance), Pune: these posts support the Pune Metro Rail Project; the grade offered depends on the experience and current pay credentials you can establish.
• Manager or Assistant Manager (Finance), Thane: these roles perform the same core finance function for the Thane project, with placement at the appropriate managerial grade.

Post-wise Duties

Deputy General Manager (Finance)

You will guide corporate accounting, financial planning and treasury management, review tax matters and examine tenders, contracts, offers and estimates before financial clearance. The role also involves applying corporate-governance controls to a major metro project.

Manager and Assistant Manager (Finance)

You will handle day-to-day finance controls, support direct and indirect tax work, check commercial proposals and maintain reliable project accounts. Depending on grade, you may lead reviews or prepare the analysis used by senior finance officers.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Regular appointment: the advertised roles are regular MAHA Metro positions, but the corporation does not promise automatic promotion to a higher grade.
• Service bond: selected staff must sign the corporation's bond and serve for at least three years; leave without pay does not count toward that period.
• Posting liability: you may be posted wherever a MAHA Metro project operates or is likely to begin in Maharashtra.
• Medical fitness: appointment depends on clearing the prescribed examination at a hospital nominated by MAHA Metro; failure does not create a claim to alternative work.
• Provisional strength: the corporation may increase, reduce or cancel the notified requirement according to project needs.
• Interview travel: MAHA Metro will not pay TA or DA for screening, verification, the medical examination or joining.
• Serving employees: applicants from government bodies and PSUs must route the form properly or produce a No Objection Certificate at interview.
