The Office of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Khammam is filling a Special Judicial Magistrate of Second Class post to hear cases at Sathupalli in Khammam district, Telangana. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The post is for a term of one year on a contract basis.
• Eligibility routes: You can apply only if you have held a judicial or judicial-ministerial post, served as a Section Officer or above in the Telangana High Court, practiced as a non-practicing advocate for at least five years and are above 45 years of age, or are a retired Gazetted officer with a law degree who has passed the Criminal Judicial Test.
• Disqualification: Candidates who are deaf, mute, blind, suffering from leprosy or a similarly contagious disease, insolvent, or holding a subsisting government contract or business interest cannot apply.
• Removal: A Special Judicial Magistrate can be removed for missing three consecutive court sittings without written permission from the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
• Lapse of powers: The magisterial powers conferred by the court automatically lapse once the office-holder turns 65.
• Working days: The Special Judicial Magistrate Second Class court functions five days a week, Monday to Friday, between 7.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
• No TA/DA: No travel allowance is paid for attending the recruitment process, and the appointing authority can cancel the notification without assigning any reason.
