Kerala Tourism Green Marshal Recruitment 2026: Overview

Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala is engaging Green Marshals through the Centre for Management Development (CMD) for tourist destinations across the state. The role supports the Directorate's Green Protocol and responsible-tourism work in coordination with District Tourism Promotion Councils. You will choose one district, and the department may place you at any proposed destination within that district according to operational needs.

The engagement is a one-year daily-wage assignment, not a regular appointment. It suits candidates who can work on-site around busy beaches, hill stations, heritage areas, backwaters and other visitor locations while helping the tourism team keep these public spaces orderly and environmentally responsible.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• District choice: You can select only one district, and your candidature will be considered against that district's positions.
• Deployment: The Directorate of Tourism or CMD may place you at any proposed tourism destination within your chosen district.
• Local tie-break: When candidates have the same SSLC percentage, a local resident gets preference after producing valid residence proof.
• Second tie-break: If the SSLC score and local preference still do not separate candidates, the older candidate ranks higher by date of birth.
• Attendance-linked pay: Your payment depends on the actual days you work and remains subject to the applicable deductions and rules.
• Tenure: The daily-wage engagement lasts for one year and does not give you a right to permanent appointment.
• Qualification claims: If you rely on equivalency, an alternative qualification or a relaxation under a government order, you must support that claim when applying.
• Document consistency: The details in your online form must match your original records; false, altered or hidden information can cancel your candidature or engagement.
• Final submission: Incomplete, incorrect or uncheckable applications may be rejected, and later changes are not normally accepted.
• Communication: Keep a working personal mobile number and email address throughout the recruitment so that you do not miss official updates.
• Operational changes: The Directorate or CMD may revise the requirement, change or cancel the notice, or stop the process for administrative reasons.
• Work directions: Selected Green Marshals must follow the duty roster, reporting arrangement and deployment instructions issued by the competent authority.
