IIPS Research Officer PMJAY Recruitment 2026: Overview

International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) is recruiting a Research Officer in Mumbai for an institute-funded study of social health insurance. The project examines coverage, effectiveness and barriers to universal health coverage in India before and after PMJAY. It is a temporary project appointment linked to this study.

The project brings together population research and public-health questions around insurance coverage. Its focus includes both the reach of social health insurance and the barriers associated with achieving universal health coverage. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Your first appointment would be for three months. This is the initial term stated in the notice, so you should plan around a short project engagement.
• Possible extension: IIPS may extend the appointment until the project ends, based on performance. An extension is conditional and should not be treated as assured when you accept the initial term.
• End of appointment: The engagement ends when the project finishes or when your appointment period expires, whichever comes first. The role remains tied to the project throughout.
• Travel costs: IIPS will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. If you attend in person, you will need to arrange your own travel.
