ICDS Junagadh Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Branch of District Panchayat Junagadh is inviting women from Junagadh (rural) district to join its Anganwadi centres as Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Tedagars (Helpers). The engagement is an honorary service under the centrally sponsored ICDS scheme, not a regular government job, and it is spread across nine talukas and ten ICDS units of the district. Only women may apply, and every vacancy is tied to one named Anganwadi centre, so you choose the centre you want to serve when you fill the form. Posts and Disciplines

• Anganwadi Worker (Karyakar): the woman who runs the Anganwadi centre in her own village and is picked from that centre's own merit list. A serving Tedagar may also move into this role under a relaxed age ceiling.
• Anganwadi Tedagar (Helper): the support role at the same centre, working alongside the Worker in the same village. The Tedagar post at the Samatpara centre in Bhesan taluka is being advertised afresh in this drive.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Women only: the ICDS Branch accepts applications from women alone for both roles.
• Local residence: you must actually live in the revenue village area of the Anganwadi centre you apply for. Only the prescribed-format residence certificate issued by the Mamlatdar's Jan Seva Kendra is accepted as proof — no other certificate will do.
• Honorary engagement: this is service on a monthly honorarium under the ICDS scheme, so it does not carry the pay scale, seniority or pension of a regular Gujarat Government post.
• Cut-off: your age, education and every other condition are judged as on the closing day of the application window.
• Merit list: the ICDS Branch prepares a separate online merit list for each Anganwadi centre from your educational qualification and the marks you scored. Women holding a higher qualification may apply, but the merit is worked out on the prescribed qualification.
• Wrong details: if anything you enter is false or unclear, or your uploaded papers are not legible and in the prescribed format, your application is liable to be cancelled and no representation will be heard.
