ICAR-IARI YP-II IT Cell Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) is hiring a Young Professional-II for the IT Cell of The Graduate School in New Delhi. This is a time-bound contractual role supporting the digital systems used in postgraduate academic administration rather than an agricultural field-research position. The role combines day-to-day IT support with academic data and portal work, making it suitable if your computer degree is backed by hands-on systems knowledge.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The initial engagement runs for one year. It may be extended for up to two more years, one year at a time, when the institute still needs the role and your performance is satisfactory. Each extension is a fresh institutional decision rather than an automatic continuation, so you should treat performance and continuing need as separate conditions.
• Non-regular status: This appointment is contractual, non-regular and time-bound; it does not give you a claim to a permanent ICAR-IARI post.
• Leave: Young Professionals receive casual leave on a pro-rata basis and restricted holidays under the applicable Government of India and ICAR rules. Unused leave does not move into the next calendar year, while limited compensatory leave may be available for holiday duty.
• Campus facilities: You may use facilities such as transport, canteen, library and dispensary when they are available under ICAR-IARI rules. Access depends on what the institute provides at the New Delhi campus and remains subject to its internal arrangements.
• Confidentiality: The selected person must follow the country's secrecy laws and sign a secrecy declaration and Non-Disclosure Agreement before reporting.
• Relationship disclosure: Every applicant must file the prescribed declaration stating whether a near or distant relative works at ICAR-IARI. An undisclosed relationship or incorrect statement can affect your candidature.
• Early termination: The institute may end the contract before its expected completion, cancel or postpone the interview, or cancel the post under the authority stated in the notice.
• Conduct: Canvassing leads to disqualification, and no TA or DA is available for attending the interview.
• Legal jurisdiction: Any dispute connected with this engagement will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
