High Court of Himachal Pradesh (HP High Court), Shimla, is filling Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer and Stenographer posts on its own establishment. This is a promotion-based recruitment through a limited competitive proficiency test conducted under the High Court's Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2015 — only serving Stenographers of the High Court Registry and the District Judiciary of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply. Posts and Disciplines

• Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer (Mode-C): for graduate Stenographers already working in the High Court with no service rider, or Junior Scale Stenographers with at least 5 years of service in the High Court.
• Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer (Mode-D): for graduate Senior Scale Stenographers working in the District Judiciary of Himachal Pradesh, with at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Scale Stenographer.
• Stenographer (Mode-B): for graduate Junior Scale Stenographers working in the High Court, and Junior Scale Stenographers of the District Judiciary with one year (High Court) or three years (District Judiciary) of experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who can apply: This recruitment is open only to serving officials of the High Court Registry and the District Judiciary of Himachal Pradesh — it is not open to the general public.
• Proficiency test: Candidates must clear a stenography dictation test and a separate computer typing test before being considered further.
