Who Can Apply?

Nursing Posts (Staff Nurse, GNM, ANM):

  • 10+2 with a 3-year General Nursing & Midwifery training, or an ANM course from a government-recognized institution, registered with the Jharkhand Nursing Council.

Pharmacy Posts (Pharmacist):

  • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institute, registered under the Pharmacy Council.

Lab & Technical Posts (Lab Technician, Radiographer, OT Technician, Oxygen Operator):

  • 10+2 with a Diploma in the relevant technical field (Lab Technology, X-Ray/Radiology, Operation Theatre Technician, or Engineering) from a government-recognized institute, registered under the Jharkhand Paramedical Council where applicable.

Counselling & Social Work Posts:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration or Home Science, with at least 1 year of relevant field experience.

Specialist Posts (Epidemiologist, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker):

  • Postgraduate or Medical degree in the relevant specialization with public health or clinical experience, as specified for each post.

Support Staff (Hospital Attendants, Sanitary Attendants):

  • Matriculation (10th pass), with two years of hospital work experience preferred.

Age Limit

  • Age is calculated as on 1 January 2026. Minimum age is 21 years for all categories.
  • General & EWS: Maximum 35 years (40 years for Divyang/PwD candidates)
  • Backward Class & Extremely Backward Class (BC/EBC): Maximum 37 years (42 years for PwD)
  • SC/ST (Male & Female): Maximum 40 years (45 years for PwD)
  • Female candidates (General/BC/EBC): Maximum 38 years (43 years for PwD)

Salary

Selection Process

DHS Godda will select candidates through the following stages:

  1. Screening of Applications: If a post gets 10 or fewer applications, the merit list is prepared directly from your educational and training marks.
  2. Written Test/Skill Test: Conducted only if more than 10 applications are received for a post, worth 40 out of 100 total marks.
  3. Document Verification: Your original certificates will be verified within 3 months of selection.

The final merit list combines your 10th marks, 12th marks, essential qualification marks, higher qualification marks and Written Test/Skill Test marks, out of 100 total marks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care and support clinical procedures at your assigned health facility
  • Maintain accurate records of patients, medicines, equipment and stock as per your post
  • Assist doctors and senior medical staff during examinations, tests and treatment
  • Follow infection control, hygiene and safety protocols at all times
  • Support outreach and awareness activities under National Health Mission programs
  • Coordinate with district health officials for reporting and data management
  • Handle assigned equipment and instruments (lab, X-ray, oxygen plant, etc.) as per your post
  • Counsel patients and their families where applicable to your role
