DDMCH MNCU Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital, Kendujhar (DDMCH Kendujhar) is engaging Medical Officers for its Maternal and Newborn Care Unit and Nursery Unit in the Department of Paediatrics. The engagement is supported by District Mineral Foundation (DMF), Kendujhar and is designed for doctors who can work closely with newborn and paediatric care teams in the teaching hospital. Specialist paediatric qualifications receive preference, while MBBS doctors may be considered when specialists are unavailable.

This is a hospital-based contractual assignment at the Kendujhar campus. Your work will centre on clinical coverage in the MNCU and nursery, where careful observation, timely escalation and coordination with senior paediatric staff are important. The notice also gives priority to doctors who already have contractual or temporary service experience in the government health sector.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Tenure: The engagement runs for one year from joining and the notice says it will not be renewed.
  • Professional registration: You must hold permanent registration of your medical qualification with the appropriate Central or State Medical Council.
  • Existing service: A doctor currently serving as an SR or Tutor in a government medical college in Odisha cannot take this engagement. A person whose government service in the state was terminated will not be considered for re-engagement.
  • Clinical conduct: Doctors must report for duty on time, and private practice is prohibited during duty hours.
  • Exit condition: If you resign from the contractual post, you must give one month's notice.
  • Accommodation: Campus accommodation may be provided only when space is available; it is not guaranteed.
  • Document accuracy: False or concealed information can lead to cancellation of candidature or termination after joining. Any legal dispute falls under Kendujhar jurisdiction.
  • Communication: Merit updates, allotment and engagement information will be placed on the Kendujhar District and DDMCH websites; individual postal communication is not planned.

This is a walk-in process at the Office of the Superintendent, B Block, third floor, Teaching Hospital, DDMCH, Kendujhar. Bring the completed form from the notice, a recent colour photograph, one self-attested photocopy set and every original certificate for checking. Registration is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by document checking from 11:10 AM to noon and the interview from 12:10 PM to 2:00 PM. The notice schedules result publication at 5:00 PM. Keep checking the official district and college websites because any clarification, addendum or later communication will appear there.
