CUSAT Technician Grade II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has invited applications for 1 anticipated vacancy of Technician Grade II in the Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering (KMSME), a specialised marine engineering training institute under the university. The appointment is on contract basis for 1 year, extendable up to 2 years based on institutional need. This is a good opportunity for ITI-qualified diesel mechanics, or retired Indian Navy marine engineering personnel, who want to work in a technical training environment.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: ITI certificate in Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Marine Diesel Engine Maintenance.
• Alternate Qualification: Serving or retired PO (ME) [Petty Officer, Marine Engineering] of the Indian Navy can also apply.
• Reservation rules apply to this appointment as per CUSAT norms.

Age Limit

• You should preferably be below 57 years, with an upper age limit of 62 years as on 1 January 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,980 per month.
• The appointment is on a contract basis for 1 year, extendable up to 2 years based on institutional requirement.
