CSIR-NIScPR is hiring 3 Project Staff (Project Assistant Level-I) for the National Knowledge Resource Consortium (NKRC) project in New Delhi. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi, a multidisciplinary national research laboratory, has invited applications for 3 Project Assistant Level-I (PAT-I) posts under the National Knowledge Resource Consortium (NKRC) project. These posts are funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Selection is by walk-in interview only — you just need to turn up on the interview day with your documents. Candidates who have a good background in software development and web technologies are preferred.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Project Assistant-I (MoES funded): 1 post, project runs up to 31 December 2028
• Project Assistant-I (DST funded): 2 posts, project runs up to 31 December 2026

The number of posts may increase or decrease. All posts are on a contract basis and are co-terminus with the project.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification (Essential)

• A Master's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or an MVSc, OR
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine from a recognised university.

Desirable Skills (Preference Given)

• Experience in software development
• Proficiency in Linux, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript and jQuery
• Knowledge of content management systems like Drupal or Joomla
• Working knowledge of database design, metadata handling, web-enabled applications and portal designing

Only candidates who have already got their result (at least a provisional certificate) can attend. Result-awaited or final-semester candidates are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age relaxation is given as per CSIR rules.
• Your age will be counted as on the date of the interview (16 June 2026).

Salary

• Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA — if you have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET (including Lectureship / Assistant Professorship), GATE, or a national-level exam conducted by central government departments like DBT or DST.
• Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA — for all other candidates who do not fall under the above.
• HRA is paid as per the rules of the sponsoring agency.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no separate written exam. Selection is based on:

1. Academic Records: your marks and qualifications are checked.
2. Test (if conducted): performance in any test held on the day.
3. Interview: a personal interview before the selection committee.

Just meeting the minimum qualification does not give you any right to selection. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
