Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is hiring a Director to head its National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) in Pune through a fixed-tenure appointment. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Your appointment can run for six years, ending earlier if you reach superannuation. Renewal is possible only in exceptional cases, so continued service beyond the original term is not automatic.
• Possible placement: CSIR may consider the Director for absorption or placement as a Director's Grade Scientist, also described as Scientist H or Outstanding Scientist. This depends on the applicable rules; the notice does not promise that placement will follow the Director's term.
