CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani, a premier research institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), has released Advertisement No. PF-07/2026 dated 17 August 2026 for Project Associate-I, Senior Project Associate and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions across five ongoing projects in electronics engineering, embedded systems, and power electronics for electric vehicles. These are purely temporary engagements made on behalf of the project sponsors and do not confer any right to a regular CSIR-CEERI/CSIR post. Fresh engineering graduates as well as candidates with NET/GATE qualification can apply depending on the post.

Vacancy Breakdown by Project

Who Can Apply?

Project Associate-I (Post Codes 3402 & 3403 - Societal Electronics Group):

• You need a 4-year B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer Science or Electrical & Electronics, OR an M.Sc. in Electronics/Physics or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Preferred: Experience in digital/analog IC design, hardware accelerator design, HDL modelling, and EDA tools such as Xilinx, Synopsys or Cadence.

Project Associate-I / Senior PAT (Post Code 3404 - Advanced Information Technologies Group):

• Project Associate-I: B.Tech in CS/IT/ECE/Robotics/EEE/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Senior PAT: M.Tech/PhD in the same disciplines, OR a B.Tech with 3 years of experience in embedded systems compatible with PX4.
• Desirable: Proficiency in embedded C, PCB design, software development, PX4, ROS and Linux integration.

JRF (Post Code 3405 - High-Power Microwave Systems Group):

• You need a Graduate or Postgraduate degree (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech.) in Electronics, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• You must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE, or a national-level exam conducted by DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/MoE/ICAR/ICMR/IITs/IISc/IISERs/NISER.
• If a suitable JRF candidate is not found, a Project Associate-I or Project Associate-II may be hired instead using the same discipline qualifications.

Age Limit

• Project Associate-I posts: up to 35 years.
• Senior PAT post: up to 40 years.
• JRF post: up to 30 years.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, and 3 years for OBC.

Salary

• Project Associate-I (Post 3402, 3403): Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA.
• Senior PAT (Post 3404): Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA.
• Project Associate-I (Post 3404): Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA.
• JRF (Post 3405): Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA. If a Project Associate-I/II is hired instead, pay is Rs. 30,000 or Rs. 33,000 per month + HRA.
• HRA is paid as per CSIR guidelines, subject to fund availability in the project.
