The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Silchar, which works under the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of AYUSH, has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for one Project Assistant post. This position is attached to a CCRUM-funded Intramural Research (IMR) project on formulating and testing a novel Unani phytosome loaded with Withania somnifera and Capparis spinosa extracts for its antiviral activity against HPV-linked cervical cancer. There is no written exam — selection is entirely through a walk-in interview. Candidates with a life sciences or pharmacy background who are interested in phytochemistry and drug research should attend with all original documents.

CCRUM is the apex research body under the Ministry of AYUSH for scientific research in Unani medicine, running a network of research institutes, clinical units and drug standardisation labs across India. Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 22,000 per month plus 8% HRA, totaling Rs. 23,760 per month.
• This is a project-linked emolument and does not carry other government allowances.

You will be selected directly through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Bring your original certificates, testimonials, self-attested photocopies, two passport photos and a valid photo ID to the venue.
2. Walk-in Interview: Held on 7 August 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Committee Room, RRIUM, Veterinary Bazar, Ghungoor, Silchar - 788014, Assam.

If you are already employed, bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, and candidates arriving after the scheduled time will not be entertained.
