Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is hiring Treatment Organizers for its Public Health Department, Tuberculosis Control Division. These are temporary contract engagements within the municipal health service in Mumbai. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: Each engagement lasts up to 178 days, or until the post is filled through regular appointment, whichever happens first. The authority can end the engagement without prior notice under the conditions in the notice.
• No claim to regular service: Your contract service does not count towards municipal seniority or give you preference or a right to a permanent municipal post. The notice excludes the regular municipal service benefits and rules it identifies.
• Place of work: You may be assigned to a ward office or another health department office within Mumbai. Where needed, you must work across all three shifts, so the assignment may involve changing duty hours.
• Assigned establishment: You cannot work in another municipal office outside the establishment or division to which you are appointed. The engagement does not give you administrative or financial powers.
• Agreement: Selected applicants must sign the prescribed written agreement on bond paper before appointment.
• Leave: Applicable public holidays and weekly holidays are allowed, along with proportionate casual leave of 7.5 days during the contract period. The notice does not allow additional categories of leave.
• Resignation and attendance: You must give 15 days of written notice if you resign. Unauthorised absence leads to deduction of pay for the days concerned.
• Accommodation: BMC will not provide housing. Consider your travel and accommodation arrangements when deciding whether this Mumbai assignment suits you.
• Local preference: Local applicants receive preference according to merit, with the final decision resting with the administration.
• Conduct: False information, concealed facts, impersonation or attempts to influence recruitment can lead to rejection or termination. Complaints concerning earlier work in the department may also be examined.
• Recruitment changes: The administration may change, stop or cancel the process partly or fully. No intermediary is authorised to sell or accept applications on its behalf.
