Posts and Disciplines

• Support Person (Sahayak Vyakti): the single role in this advertisement. Seats are split between men and women across General, SC/ST, BC/EBC and Minority categories, so check the category table in the notice before you apply.
• Who fits best: people with a postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Child Development or Law, or any graduate with a diploma in child rights or counselling and three years of relevant work.
• Preferred background: work experience with the District or Bihar State Legal Services Authority, a DCPU, Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, POCSO Court, Childline or the Child Helpline gets priority.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Local residents only: You must be an Indian citizen and a resident of Begusarai district.
• Clean record: You must have no criminal case registered anywhere in India, no conviction for moral turpitude, and must never have been dismissed or blacklisted by an organisation working in child protection or child development. You will have to submit an affidavit saying so.
• Panel tenure: Empanelment lasts two years or until you turn 65, whichever comes first.
• Pay per case: The honorarium is fixed per POCSO case and paid in three instalments, not as a monthly salary.
• Can be cancelled: Your empanelment can be ended at any time if you gave false information or certificates, or if your conduct during the work is found improper.
