APHC Civil Judge Senior Division Recruitment 2026: Overview
The High Court of Andhra Pradesh (APHC) at Amaravati has announced an accelerated promotion drive for Civil Judge (Senior Division) in the state's judicial service. It uses the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) route for promotion within the judicial cadre. The notice sets out the rules for this departmental promotion process and includes the application form for officers taking part.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Governing rules: The Andhra Pradesh State Judicial (Service and Cadre) Rules, 2026 apply to this recruitment. The High Court will decide procedural matters that these rules do not cover.
- Reservation: Vertical reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes follows the judicial service rules and the amended state service provisions cited in the notice. The application form distinguishes the Scheduled Caste groups, so your category entry should match your claim.
- Recruitment changes: The High Court may increase or reduce the available posts, or cancel the notice at any stage without giving a reason. The notification itself does not give you a right to appointment.
- Travel expenses: You will need to meet your own travel and daily expenses for attending the recruitment assessments. The court does not pay these allowances.
- Application acceptance: Late, unsigned, incomplete or improperly filled applications can be rejected. Check that your form is complete before handing it to the receiving office.
Application Submission Notes
Your application goes to the office of the Principal District Judge concerned. This is the receiving office specified in the notification for the departmental application.
Recruitment updates and results will appear on the High Court's official website. Keep checking its notices until the process ends, as the court asks applicants to follow updates throughout the recruitment.
