AIIMS Raebareli Junior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raebareli, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is engaging Junior Residents for clinical work at its Uttar Pradesh campus. This is a short ad-hoc residency intended to support the institute's hospital services while giving early-career doctors supervised experience across patient-care settings. Selection is through a campus walk-in, so you must be ready for document checking and the interview on the same day. A screening test may also be held if attendance is high.

The role suits doctors who have completed their internship and want structured hospital exposure before moving into a longer residency or postgraduate pathway. Your work will be based entirely at AIIMS Raebareli, and the institute will decide the clinical area or duty assignment after joining.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is ad hoc for six months from joining. Either side may end it without notice.
• Residency terms: A doctor may complete no more than three Junior Residency terms. Any part of a six-month term counts as one full term, even if the doctor leaves early.
• Previous service: Doctors whose earlier Junior Residency at an AIIMS ended because of unauthorised absence or disciplinary action cannot be considered.
• Preference: AIIMS graduates may receive preference when posts are allotted, subject to the institute's decision.
• Full-time duty: The appointment is a whole-time hospital role. Private practice and other paid or unpaid assignments are not permitted during the engagement.
• Benefits: The ad-hoc post does not create a claim to a regular AIIMS position or regular-government benefits such as pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion.
• Fitness and conduct: Joining remains subject to medical fitness, truthful information and the institute's service rules.
• Travel: The institute will not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in or joining the post.
• Reservation: Central Government reservation rules apply, including horizontal reservation for persons with disabilities. If the notified EWS seat is not filled, the institute may consider an eligible unreserved candidate for it.

Report with the completed Annexure A bio-data form at LT Ground, Medical College, AIIMS Raebareli, Munshiganj, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. You should reach the venue by 9:30 AM; document checking starts later that morning and interviews follow in the afternoon.

Bring your original records along with the self-attested sets requested in the notice. If you already work for a government, semi-government or public-sector organisation, carry a No Objection Certificate from your employer. Without it, the institute may not allow you to attend the interview.
